One of the many, many joys of traveling is the chance to shop for native, artisanal wares you’d be hard-pressed to find in your own country or city. It’s one of my favorite things to indulge in when I’m visiting far off places, procuring wonderful, locally-made products and bringing them back to either give to friends and family or simply decorate my home.
Coming back from my first visit in Morocco, a city known for its amazing retail opportunities, I was struck with an idea: to share my fantastic finds with others too. And so I created this humble shop, filled with colorful handmade creations from the most extraordinary lands. Some of these pieces I handpicked while visiting traditional shops, markets and souks; a few others I made myself, inspired by the beautiful things I’ve seen during my travels.
Why, you may ask? Because even though we can’t travel to our dream destination just yet, it doesn’t mean we can’t take a piece of it home with us.
